Which substrates are excluded for SoudaFoam All Season?
Check the surfaces the foam will touch before you order.
Soudal excludes PTFE, PE and PP from SoudaFoam All Season’s adhesion claim. Its technical sheet describes adhesion to most other substrates, but that isn’t approval for every surface. If either side of your gap is PTFE, PE or PP, don’t count on this product’s stated adhesion claim for that job.
Check both sides of the gap
Before choosing the foam, identify each material it will touch. Check component markings or ask the supplier for the material name. If your order notes only say plastic, get a more specific answer.
What about a coated component? Include the coating when you ask about compatibility. Give the manufacturer the actual contact surfaces, rather than just the material underneath.
Don’t read “most substrates” as blanket approval
The exclusion belongs to SoudaFoam All Season. It doesn’t establish which surfaces another foam will bond to, so check the exact replacement product before buying.
The supplied Soudal sheet doesn’t give a primer or surface-treatment method that brings PTFE, PE or PP within its adhesion claim. Don’t assume extra preparation removes the exclusion.

Settle compatibility before ordering
Found an excluded material? Ask Soudal to confirm suitability or specify another product for the actual surfaces. For help with selection, send Cranco the foam name, the materials on both sides of the gap and any coating details.
