What is Soudafoam All Season used for?
Installing window and door frames, filling cavities, sealing openings in roof construction, building a soundproof screen, connecting insulating materials to roof construction, laying a soundproofing layer on motors, and improving thermal insulation in cooling systems. Soudal says it adheres to most substrates apart from PTFE, polyethylene and polypropylene.
How cold can you apply Soudafoam All Season?
The foam extrudes at ambient temperatures as low as -13 °F (-25 °C). Soudal sets both the can and application surface range at 41 to 95 °F, recommends 50 to 77 °F, and gives 41 to 86 °F as the recommended ambient range. Once cured, the foam holds from -40 to 194 °F.
How fast does Soudafoam All Season cure?
It skins in 8 minutes and is dust free after 20 to 25 minutes at 68 °F and 65% relative humidity. Full cure runs 1.5 hours at 68 °F, 3 to 5 hours at 32 °F, 8 to 10 hours at 14 °F and 10 to 12 hours at -13 °F, so a winter joint is not ready to trim on the same schedule as a summer one.
How much does one can of Soudafoam All Season fill?
Soudal's headline is 12 gallons of cured foam from a 24 ounce can under ASTM C-1536. Its own temperature table runs from 13 gallons at 68 °F down to 8 at 32 °F, 7 at 14 °F and 6 at -13 °F. Plan the can count off the temperature the crew will be working in.
Do you have to cover Soudafoam All Season?
Yes. Soudal's remark is that cured PU foam must be protected from ultraviolet radiation by painting it or applying a top layer of sealant, and it names silicone, MS polymer, acrylic and PU sealant as the coverings. Paint is a protective coat on this product and Soudal publishes no paintability specification.
How long does Soudafoam All Season keep?
Eighteen months in unopened packaging, in a cool dry place between 41 and 77 °F, stored with the valve pointing up. Soudal prints that last instruction on its own.

Limitations from Soudal
Cured PU foam must be protected from UV-radiation by painting or applying a top layer of sealant (silicone, MS Polymer, acrylic and PU-sealant).
Can and surface temperature 41°F to 95°F (50°F-77°F recommended); the foam will even cure at ambient temperatures of 120°F (41°F-86°F recommended).
