Gutter Seal
Gutter Seal is a thermoplastic, architectural, one-component sealing compound which dries by solvent evaporation.
Mulco Gutter Seal is a thermoplastic sealant for joints on gutters and eavestroughs. Mulco specifies a product temperature of 5–30 °C and a surface temperature of -30 to 40 °C during application, with no frost or ice on the surface. Gutter Seal is Mulco's one-component thermoplastic sealing compound for the joints of PVC and aluminium gutters. It dries by solvent evaporation and sticks on dry or damp surfaces, so a joint does not have to be bone dry before the bead goes on.

What is Mulco Gutter Seal used for?
Outdoor joints in PVC and aluminium gutters. Mulco states that gutters longer than 20 feet for aluminium or 10 feet for vinyl cannot be sealed permanently with this product. Use the length of the longest gutter piece meeting the sealant to choose the bead width and thickness from Mulco’s table.
How long does Gutter Seal take to dry?
Mulco gives no fixed drying time in the Gutter Seal data sheet linked below. It dries by solvent evaporation, and drying time depends on temperature, relative humidity and ventilation. Confirm the required drying time for the joint and conditions before putting it into service.
Does Mulco Gutter Seal stick to a wet gutter?
Mulco states that Gutter Seal adheres to dry or damp surfaces. That does not establish application through standing water. Remove old sealant, dirt, oil and other contamination, and keep the surfaces free of frost and ice. Mulco excludes immersion in a tank.
Can you apply Mulco Gutter Seal in winter?
Mulco permits application with the product at 5–30 °C and the surface at -30 to 40 °C. Keep the surface free of frost and ice. For easier application, Mulco says the product should be warmer than 5 °C. Store sealed cartridges dry at 10–30 °C; the stated shelf life is two years.
What colours does Mulco Gutter Seal come in?
White and clear. Mulco publishes no package size, no cure figure and no movement rating for it on the linked data sheet, so ask the counter for the cartridge size it carries.
Is Mulco Gutter Seal for outdoor use only?
Yes. Mulco formulates it for outdoor use. For an interior joint, Mulco's Universal Silicone is cleared for both sides of the wall.

Limitations from Mulco
Mulco: do not use in contact with surfaces such as asphalt or tar products and insulation panels such as polystyrene, which can be damaged by solvents.
Mulco: does not withstand immersion in a tank, or abrasion from foot traffic.
Mulco: the surfaces must be free of frost or ice, and free of creosote, oil, grease, wax, silicone or silicone-based product, asphalt or bitumen-based product, rust, and any loose or foreign material.
Gutters longer than 20 feet for aluminum or 10 feet for vinyl cannot be sealed permanently.
