TremPro 830 Plus
Trempro® 830+ is a one-part, thermoplastic elastomer that provides a high-performance, flexible seal in glazing and siding applications.
TremPro 830 Plus is a thermoplastic sealant from Tremco. Tremco lists it for siding (sill trim, flashings, fascia, J-trim, F-channel, crown molding), window/door perimeters, glazing. Tremco gives the application temperature as 20 to 120 °F, which the product and the surface both have to meet on the day. Cranco carries it, and which counter has it on the day changes, so ask at the counter.
TremPro 830 Plus is a one-part thermoplastic elastomer made by Tremco for glazing and siding work. It goes on sill trim, flashings, fascia, J-trim, F-channel and crown moulding, and around wood, PVC and aluminium window and door perimeters. It is ASTM C920 Type S Grade NS Class 25 Use T1 NT A, and Tremco takes it down to 20 °F.

What is TremPro 830 Plus used for?
Siding work on sill trim, flashings, fascia, J-trim, F-channel and crown moulding, window and door perimeters in wood, PVC and aluminium, and glazing work on face bedding, cap beads and mitre joints in window profiles. Tremco lists metals, plastic, wood, foam, vinyl, drywall, glass, fibre cement, concrete, mortar, brick, stone, fibreglass and stucco as substrates. Exterior joints that move a little and have to shed water straight away. A thermoplastic sets as its solvent evaporates, which is why TremPro 830 Plus can be gunned at 20 °F and will not wash out in rain before it is fully cured. It is rated Class 25, so a joint working wider than that takes Tremco's Dymonic 100 or Tremsil 400 instead.
How fast does TremPro 830 Plus skin over?
It depends which grade is in the gun, and Tremco publishes two sheets for that reason. The clear and translucent grade skins in 30 minutes and is tack-free in 5 to 10 minutes at 23 °C and 50% relative humidity. The colours skin in 5 minutes and are tack-free in under an hour.
How cold can you apply TremPro 830 Plus?
Tremco puts the application range at 20 °F to 120 °F and says the sealant can be applied down to 20 °F where the general Tremco rule is 40 °F or above. Tremco prints that range in its limitations, which is where you will find it below.
What joint size does TremPro 830 Plus take?
Tremco rules out butt joints under 1/4 inch wide and joints over 1/2 inch wide by 1/2 inch deep, and asks for foam backer rod where the depth passes 1/2 inch. The recommended bead is 1/4 to 3/8 inch, laid convex so the sealant touches both faces. Tremco says a flat or concave bead after cure is normal shrinkage.
Is Tremco 830 the same as TremPro 830 Plus?
No. Tremco 830 is the earlier product in the same family, also a one-part thermoplastic elastomer for glazing and siding. Cranco carries both, and Tremco 830's own page carries its specifications. Call the branch for what it has.
Where can you buy TremPro 830 Plus?

Clear comes in the 300 mL cartridge and in the 300 mL and 600 mL sausages, and the colours come in all three where the colour allows. Call ahead with the colour you need.
Limitations from Tremco
Application temperature range is between 20 °F (-7 °C) and 120 °F (37.8 °C); Not for butt joints less than ¼” wide or joints exceeding ½” wide x ½” deep; If joint depth exceeds ½”, use foam backer rod; Recommended bead size: 1/4” to 3/8”; Apply a convex sealant bead to joint ensuring sealant contacts both surfaces; Avoid gaps in sealant bead, fill joint and avoid tooling; Natural shrinkage during cure will leave a flat or concave bead; Not recommended for continuous underwater use, below grade applications, or for surface defects; Store below 80°F in dry place for optimal shelf life
