SikaBoom PRO Foam Cleaner

Powerful aerosol cleaner for regular cleaning of the Sika Boom® PRO Dispenser gun.

SikaBoom PRO Foam Cleaner is a cleaner from Sika. Sika lists it for cleaning the Sika Boom PRO Dispenser gun after use, removing fresh uncured PU foam residues from dispensing equipment or other surfaces, removing grease from contaminated substrates. Sika gives the application temperature as 5 to 30 °C, which the product and the surface both have to meet on the day. Cranco carries it, and which counter has it on the day changes, so ask at the counter.

Sika Boom PRO Cleaner is a solvent aerosol for cleaning the Sika Boom PRO dispenser gun and for removing fresh uncured polyurethane foam from equipment and other surfaces. It also lifts grease off a contaminated substrate before a bead goes on.

One 500 mL can does up to 15 gun cleanings, works between 5 and 30 °C, and keeps 24 months stored upright between 18 and 20 °C. Cranco carries Sika at Concord, Barrie and Mississauga. Call the branch to confirm the colour and size in stock, and the price.

FEATURES AND BENEFITS

What is Sika Boom PRO Cleaner used for?

Cleaning the Sika Boom PRO dispenser gun after use, removing fresh uncured polyurethane foam from dispensing equipment or any other surface, and cleaning grease off a contaminated substrate.

Will Sika Boom PRO Cleaner remove cured foam?

No. Sika's limitation is that cured foam can only be mechanically removed, and Tremco says the same of its own cleaner: cured foam cannot be dissolved. Clean the gun before the foam sets.

How many gun cleanings does one can of Sika Boom PRO Cleaner do?

Up to 15, from a 500 mL can. Sika ships 12 cans to a case.

Does Sika Boom PRO Cleaner screw onto the gun?

Yes. Sika says it may be used on its own or screwed onto the Sika Boom PRO dispenser gun, and that it works in all positions, so an inverted can still sprays.

How long does Sika Boom PRO Cleaner keep?

Twenty-four months from production in the original sealed can, stored upright and dry, out of direct sun, between 18 and 20 °C.

Will Sika Boom PRO Cleaner damage a finish?

It can. Sika's limitation is that the cleaner can partially dissolve or discolour sensitive substrates such as varnish, paint, plastics and textiles, and it warns that the can is pressurised. Test it on an offcut before it goes near a finished frame.

Where can you buy Sika Boom PRO Cleaner?

At Cranco's counters in Concord, Barrie and Mississauga. The addresses, phone numbers and hours are further down this page.
