Soudafoam Door & Window is a minimal expansion, one component, moisture curing professional PU foam.
SoudaFoam Door & Window Professional Foam is a polyurethane foam from Soudal. Soudal lists it for installing window and door frames, filling cavities, sealing openings in roof construction. Soudal gives the application temperature as 41 to 95 °F, which the product and the surface both have to meet on the day. Soudafoam D&W is Soudal's low-expansion moisture-curing polyurethane foam for window and door frames. Soudal's own reason for the low expansion is plain: it will not bow or bend a frame. It skins in 7 to 8 minutes, is dust free after 20 to 25, and meets ASTM C-1620, ASTM E-84, AAMA 812-04, AAMA 812-10, UL 723 and UL 1715.

What is Soudafoam D&W used for?
Installing window and door frames, filling cavities, sealing openings in roof construction, building a soundproof screen, connecting insulating materials to roof construction, laying a soundproofing layer on motors, improving thermal insulation in cooling systems, and installing air conditioners.
Is Soudafoam Door & Window closed-cell foam?
Soudal lists a cellular structure of 70–80% closed cell for SoudaFoam D&W in its technical data sheet revised 7 July 2016.
Will Soudafoam D&W bow a window frame?
Soudal says no, and prints it as a characteristic of the product: low expansion, will not bow or bend window and door frames. The sheet also gives no shrink and no post expansion, so the bead does not pull the frame after it cures either.
How much does one can of Soudafoam D&W fill?
It depends which can. The 12 ounce straw can yields 4.9 gallons of cured foam. The 20 ounce Genius Gun can yields 6.6 gallons. The 24 ounce gun can yields 11 gallons.
How fast does Soudafoam D&W cure?
It skins in 7 to 8 minutes and is dust free after 20 to 25 minutes at 68 °F and 65% relative humidity. Cutting a 1/8 inch bead takes 30 minutes off the gun, 40 off the straw and 45 off the Genius Gun.
Is Soudafoam D&W paintable?
Yes. Soudal lists paintable, permanent colour and mildew resistant together as characteristics of this foam. Soudal makes it in champagne.
How cold can you apply Soudafoam D&W?
Soudal's range is 41 to 95 °F. Below that, Soudafoam All Season is the can Soudal rates for freezing weather, and it extrudes down to -13 °F.
