TremGlaze LEF
TremGlaze® LEF is a versatile, one-component, polyurethane foam in an aerosol can designed for window and door and retro-fit installations.
TremGlaze LEF is a polyurethane foam from Tremco. Tremco lists it for fill, insulate and seal around windows, door frame joints. Tremco gives the application temperature as 14 to 94 °F (-10 to 35 °C), which the product and the surface both have to meet on the day. Cranco carries it, and which counter has it on the day changes, so ask at the counter.
TremGlaze LEF is Tremco's one-component, low-pressure polyurethane foam in an aerosol can, for new, replacement and retrofit window and door work. Tremco's recommended application range runs from 14 to 94 °F, which covers a Canadian year, and the cured foam holds from -40 to 190 °F.
It is tack free in 10 minutes, cuttable at 45, fully cured at 24 hours, and its ASTM E84 results are a flame spread of 10 and smoke development of 15. Cranco carries Tremco at Concord, Barrie and Mississauga. Call the branch to confirm the colour and size in stock, and the price.

What is TremGlaze LEF used for?
Filling, insulating and sealing around windows, door frame joints, beneath base plates, mud sills, T-joints, top plate penetrations, corner joists, exterior cracks, and around utility panels, pipes and duct penetrations. Tremco says it is meant to be dispensed as a bead for cracks, crevices and smaller cavities on flat or irregular surfaces.
How cold can you apply TremGlaze LEF?
Down to 14 °F, which is -10 °C, and up to 94 °F, which is Tremco's recommended application range. Cured, the foam holds from -40 to 190 °F.
How fast does TremGlaze LEF cure?
Tack free in 10 minutes at 73 °F and 50% relative humidity under FEICA 1014, cuttable at 45 minutes under FEICA 1005, and fully cured at 24 hours.
Will TremGlaze LEF bow a window frame?
It is a low-pressure, low-expansion perimeter sealing foam made to reduce air infiltration and heat loss.
Is TremGlaze LEF fire rated?
Its ASTM E84 results are a flame spread of 10 and smoke development of 15, and the sheet carries UL and GREENGUARD certification marks. That is a surface-burning classification. For a residential fireblock listing, Hilti's CF-AS CJP carries one and this foam does not.
Does TremGlaze LEF need covering?
Yes. Tremco says to protect it from direct exposure to ultraviolet light and driving rain, and to use it only in well-ventilated areas. It adds that the foam can be used alongside other T3 products to build a three-level seal.
Where can you buy TremGlaze LEF?
