TremGlaze U1500 is a textured, single-component, moisture-curing, gun-grade polyurethane sealant.

What is TremGlaze U1500 used for?
Stucco, window and door perimeters, masonry work, poured and precast concrete, and construction joints of the same kind. Tremco's own reason for reaching for it is primerless adhesion to porous substrates, which is where a window perimeter on stucco or block usually needs a primer first.
Can you use TremGlaze U1500 indoors?
No. Tremco approves it for exterior use only and its limitations add a second sentence: do not use this product inside an occupied building even if there are no occupants present during use. For an interior perimeter joint TremGlaze UA1300 is the one Tremco clears for both sides of the wall.
How long does TremGlaze U1500 take to cure?
It cures at 1/16 inch, 2 mm, a day at 75 °F and 50% relative humidity. Skin time is 6 hours under ASTM C679 and tack-free time is 30 hours. Tremco's rule of thumb is one extra day of cure for every 10 °F the temperature drops.
Is TremGlaze U1500 paintable?
Tremco's own sentence sets the terms: although this product is paintable, this does not imply adhesion to and compatibility with all paints. It points at Tremco Technical Bulletin S-09-05 for the detail, so test the paint on the sealant before the crew coats a whole elevation.
How cold can you apply TremGlaze U1500?
Tremco recommends surface temperatures of 40 °F, 5 °C, or above at the time the sealant goes on. Store it inside the range the limitations below name. Where the surface will be colder, DAP Silicone Plus and Mulco Universal Silicone are the two sealants in this catalogue whose sheets go down to -37 °C.

What joint size does TremGlaze U1500 take?
For joints from 1/2 to 1 inch wide Tremco puts the sealant depth at about half the joint width, and caps the depth at 1/2 inch whatever the width. Past 1 inch it wants a call to its technical service. Around windows and doors a fillet bead needs at least 1/4 inch of contact on each substrate, with backer rod or bond breaker tape at the heel.
