Tremsil 200
Tremsil 200 is a single-component, acetoxy silicone sealant, cures to a flexible rubber when exposed to moisture present in the air.
Tremsil 200 is a silicone sealant from Tremco. Tremco lists it for kitchens, bathrooms, spas. Tremco gives the application temperature as 5 to 40 °C (41 to 104 °F), which the product and the surface both have to meet on the day. Tremsil 200 is Tremco's single-component acetoxy silicone for kitchens, bathrooms and spas. It seals to glass, metal, porcelain, ceramic and most painted surfaces, skins in 20 minutes, takes 25% movement under ISO 11600, and conforms to ASTM C920 Type S Grade NS Use NT, G, A and O plus CAN/CGSB-19.13-M87.

What is Tremsil 200 used for?
Kitchens, bathrooms, spas and similar work. Tremco says it produces a weathertight seal to glass, metal, porcelain, ceramic and most painted surfaces.
Is Tremsil 200 safe for indoor use?
Tremco's own sentence is that the Greenguard Gold certification ensures safety for use in the most sensitive indoor environments including hospitals and schools. Tremco still says to use it with adequate ventilation while it cures, because an acetoxy silicone gives off acetic acid vapour.
Will Tremsil 200 corrode metal?
Tremco rules it out on surfaces sensitive to corrosion by acetic acid vapours, which are a by-product of the cure. Copper, brass, lead and some galvanised finishes are the usual ones a contractor watches. Where the metal is a question, Tremsil 400 is Tremco's neutral-cure silicone in the same range.
What joint size does Tremsil 200 take?
Tremco's rule is a joint width of four times the anticipated movement, and never less than 1/4 inch, 6 mm, wide. The sealant is rated 25% movement, so a joint expected to move 1/16 inch wants a 1/4 inch bead.
What is the cure time for Tremsil 200?
Tremco lists a skin-forming time of 20 minutes. The data sheet Cranco holds gives no tack-free or full-cure time. Confirm the required cure and return-to-service time with Tremco before using the joint.
How cold can you apply Tremsil 200?
Between 5 and 40 °C, which is 41 to 104 °F. Cured, it holds from -40 to 100 °C.

Limitations from Tremco
Do not apply over damp or contaminated surfaces. Not intended for continuous water immersion. Do not use on surfaces sensitive to corrosion by acetic acid vapors (a by-product of sealant cure). Use with adequate ventilation.
